Georgetown Piano Company, in conjunction with Hancock Restorations, is pleased to offer a 1941 Steinway model ‘M’ (5'7") grand piano, serial #306585, available for purchase and in need of restoration to be restored to its full glory!  In conjunction with the purchase of this piano, this piano will be completely rebuilt and refinished.  See below for details.

  • Brand new pinblock, full fit installation as per original Steinway construction
  • Brand new soundboard, sitka spruce with sugar pine ribs, as per original Steinway construction
  • Recapped bridges, expertly notched and pinned for superior sound transmission and string termination
  • Re-guilding the gold cast iron plate
  • Complete repinning and restringing
  • Complete action rebuilding, including all new Renner parts and Renner Premium Blue Hammers
  • Complete damper action replacement, all new damper felts, damper heads refinished, damper wires polished, damper guide rails rebushed
  • Brand new keytops and sharps
  • Brand new key bushing felts, new keyframe felts
  • Several tunings in shop before delivery to facilitate string stretching, one tuning upon delivery to customer home
  • Total refinishing by Kevin Hancock of Hancock Restorations, including polishing and re-plating as necessary of all hardware
